  • 1 cup Quick or Rolled Oats certified gluten-free if needed
  • 2 cups Unsweetened Crispy Rice Cereal can substitute with puffed quinoa or extra oats
For Flavoring
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt sea salt for better flavor
For the Sweet Touch
  • 1/2 cup Dairy-Free Mini Chocolate Chips or any vegan chocolate chips

How to Make
  1. In a medium saucepan, mix together the maple syrup, brown sugar, and coconut oil over low heat. Stir for 2-3 minutes until the sugar dissolves and the mixture becomes smooth.
  2. Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in your choice of nut or seed butter, along with the vanilla extract and salt. Blend everything until it's completely smooth and creamy.
  3. Let the mixture cool slightly before adding the ground flaxseed, oats, and crispy rice cereal. Stir until everything is well-combined and your texture is consistent.
  4. If you love chocolate, mix in the dairy-free mini chocolate chips now, or let the mixture cool a bit more first for intact pieces.
  5. Firmly press the mixture into a greased or parchment-lined 8x8-inch pan for best results.
  6. Place the pan in the freezer for 30 minutes to 1 hour, allowing the bars to set and firm up nicely.
  7. Once set, cut the bars into squares to enjoy your nutritious snack!
