For the Bang Bang Sauce
  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise Greek yogurt can lighten the sauce.
  • 1/4 cup Sweet Chili Sauce Honey or maple syrup can replace it.
  • 1-2 tablespoons Sriracha Adjust to your preferred spice level.
  • 1 tablespoon Honey Optional; skip for less sweetness.
  • 1 tablespoon Rice Vinegar Lime juice can be used instead.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your cooking surface: Set your oven to 400°F (200°C) for baking, or heat your skillet over medium-high for pan-searing.
  2. Prepare the salmon: Pat the salmon fillets dry, brush with olive oil, and season with garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
Cooking
  1. Cook the salmon by baking, grilling, or pan-searing as preferred.
  2. For baking, place skin-side down on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes.
  3. For grilling, lay skin-side down on the grill for about 4-5 minutes per side.
  4. For pan-searing, cook skin-side down for 4-5 minutes and flip to cook for another 3-4 minutes.
Sauce and Serving
  1. Make the Bang Bang sauce: Whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, honey (if using), and rice vinegar or lime juice.
  2. Serve the salmon drizzled with Bang Bang sauce and garnish with green onions or sesame seeds.
