Preparation steps
- Soak the sliced onions in a bowl of ice-cold water for about 5 minutes.
- Quarter the apples, remove the core, and slice them into ~⅛-inch thick pieces.
- In a large mixing bowl, gently combine the sliced apples, green onions, and drained onions.
- Sprinkle the sea salt, gochugaru, fish sauce, minced garlic, and grated ginger over the apple mixture.
- With clean hands, gently massage the seasoning into the apple slices.
- Garnish with toasted sesame seeds and serve immediately or refrigerate in a glass container.
